Skyrizi FDA approved to expand indication for pediatric patients with moderate to severe Plaque Psoriasis or active PsA

On June 26 abbvie announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Skyrizi(risankizumab-rzaa) for the treatment of children 6 years of age and older with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy, or active psoriatic arthritis. A new 55mg prefilled syringe has also been approved to support weight-based dosing as follows:
- < 40 kg (88.18lbs) 55mg on weeks 0, 4 and every 12 weeks thereafter
- ≥ 40Kg (88.18lbs) 150mg on weeks 0, 4 and every 12 weeks thereafter. Pen and syringe available
